Minister, envoys discuss Arab participation in S. Sudan development

Nov 4, 2006 (KHARTOUMK) — A Sudanese minister and leading member of the junior partner in the national unity government discussed with two Arab envoys the participation of their countries in southern Sudan development.

Deng_Alor-2.jpgSudanese Minister for Cabinet Affairs Deng Alor discussed here on Saturday with the Kuwaiti ambassador in Khartoum Munther Al-Essa ways for Kuwaiti investments in south Sudan.

The Sudanese minister said the meeting discussed development issues in south Sudan and investment in the field of energy, agriculture and hotel management.

He added that the two sides also reviewed means of executing these projects either through support extended by the Kuwaiti government or businessmen.

On the other hand, the Ambassador of United Arab Emirates in Khartoum, renewed, in a meeting with the Sudanese minister for cabinet affairs, the official invitation to the Sudanese First Vice President to visit the UAE.

Alor said the meeting with the Emarati envoy discussed possibilities for the Emirates to contribute in the construction of the infra structure of southern Sudan.
