Sudanese president hails Chinese friendship
Nov 27, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Monday hailed Sino-Sudanese friendship and bilateral cooperation in political, economic and trade fields.
“Relations between Sudan and China are time-honored and amicable, and such ties, based on a solid foundation, are developing,” al-Bashir said at a press conference.
He said that China has never interfered in internal affairs of other countries, “For this reason, all African countries are now oriented toward China.”
He said that the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which was held in the Chinese capital Beijing in early November, demonstrated that friendship between China and African countries reached the level of partnership.
“I have never seen so many African leaders attending a forum as what was taking place in Beijing,” he said.
