Sudan FM values role of people diplomacy in Sino-Arab
Nov 28, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — The Sudanese Foreign Minister Lam Akol Tuesday affirmed the important role of the people diplomacy in boosting cooperation between China and Arab countries.
Lam Akol made the appreciation while meeting with delegations participating in the Conference of Sino-Arab Friendship that opened here early Tuesday.
He said that the people diplomacy had integrated with the official diplomacy in consolidating relations between Chinese and Arab people.
Lam Akol also praised the development of Sino-Sudanese relations, saying the ties and cooperation between the two countries are firm and distinguished.
Lam Akol’s remarks were echoed by the Arab delegates, who described the Sino-Arab relations as deeply rooted and strong.
They also underscored the role of the civilian organizations in strengthening the relations between the Chinese and Arabs, hoping that the two-day conference could come out with positive and constructive results for consolidating the relations between the Arab countries and China.
