High-level EU delegation to arrive in Sudan 17 December

KHARTOUM, Dec 17, 2003 — A high-level EU delegation will arrive in Khartoum this afternoon on a two-day visit. The delegation will hold several meetings with state officials and leave for Nairobi afterwards.
The delegation will hold talks with the government and will meet tomorrow, Thursday [18 December], the president of the republic, Lt- Gen Umar al-Bashir; the minister of external relations, Dr Mustafa Uthman Isma’il; and a number of state officials.
The Sudanese-European dialogue will start tomorrow at the Ministry of External Relations . The Sudanese side will be led by the minister of external relations, Dr Mustafa Uthman Isma’il, while the EU side will be led by Deputy Minister of Italian Foreign Affairs Senator Alfredo Mantica, to evaluate the debate during the year 2003.
