Sudan supports Iran’s foreign policy – minister

Dec 27, 2006 (TEHRAN ) — Sudanese Minister of Religious Affairs and Waqf on Wednesday stressed that his country supports Iran’s foreign policy despite all external pressures.

In a meeting with Supreme Leader’s representative for Hajj affairs Hojatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri, Azhari al-Tigani al-Sid added that the Iranian and Sudanese nations enjoy profound and amicable relations.

Referring to the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam, he underlined the need for unity and solidarity among Muslim nations in order to neutralize such conspiracies.

Reyshahri, on his part, expressed his satisfaction with promotion of Islamism throughout the globe, adding that the Islamic values and teachings are more accepted by the world people.

Pointing to the attempts made by the enemies to exert pressures on independent Muslim nations, he stressed that the victory belongs to true followers of Islam.

Referring to Sudan as Iran’s best friend in the African continent, Reyshahri called for further expansion of all-out cooperation between the two states.
