Heritage cultural week spreads joy and security in Rumbek

Dec 30, 2006 (RUMBEK) — First Lakes State Heritage Exhibition patron Culture had began on 26 December, 2006 and it will end on 01 January 2007. The Government of Lakes State started the cultural week last two days ago with different traditional dances at the Freedom square of Rumbek.
The Heritage Exhibition patron Cultural week inauguration was attended by SPLM Secretary General Pagan Amuon Okech, the minister of high Education Scientist researches in Government of national unity (GONU) Peter Nyot Kok, all Lakes State ministers, including all eight (8) county commissioners of Lakes, some few delegates coming from Diaspora including Khartoum RUMYU and other Lakes State youths who are based in East Africa since war began in late 1983.
Ceremony was really attractive to Rumbek citizens of which the had brainstorm their wrong doing to be forgiven by this time, elders and lady and gentlemen deliver their speech base on democracy in South Sudan to take shape by all main accordingly this year before 2008.
The governor of Lakes State Lt.Gen Daniel Awet Akot felt happy and shown sign of traditional dances in open mark, taking up his black stick and test it beating it with short jumping up to the air as mark for Dinka Agaar cultures.

The public, who attends rally at Akon Buoi ground, were indeed happy to celebrate the happiness’ day without death running in Rumbek again, security situation in Rumbek is back normal not like before in July 2006,
According to Lakes State Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sport, Ms. Adak Costa Mapuor, put her remark opening speech with word so call First Lakes State Heritage Exhibition Patron will bless the Lakes State citizen to develop and they must stop wrong doing among themselves as this cultural weeks will give some good subject to the youth by today. She added that in our traditional culture as a Dinka, there should be the respect to the elders and freedom for every woman in Sudan; it is the first tracking problem that needs everybody in Sudan to work hard about freedom and forgiveness in our society.
She added that cultures are the future for our children of children in coming generation of New Sudan and if we lose the cultures by ourselves, which is why we do fight ourselves without reason while in prevision of our culture could not allow us to kill your brother without reason. We need freedom and cultures in Southern Sudan as whole the Sudan in general.
The Commissioner of Rumbek Central County Abraham Makoi Bol, said his concerns is only security systems to become 100 percent in this State of Lakes, all concerns have been discussed for a long time and no changes as well all Rumbek youth got back home like today, this is the right hours we must speak out the truth to the public of Rumbek intertribal violence to be stopped this year.
