Pakistani PM greets Sudanese leader on independence day
Jan 1, 2006 (ISLAMABAD) — Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has extended greetings to Sudan on its independence day celebrated on 1 January.
The prime minister in his message to President of Sudan Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir extended warm felicitations to the people and government of Sudan on independence day.
Prime Minister Aziz said, “The close brotherly relation existing between our two countries are deeply embedded in our common Islamic heritage and shared perceptions on regional and international issues and I am confident that the cooperation and collaboration existing between our two governments and peoples will further expand in the years to come.”
Concluding his message, the prime minister said, “I avail myself of this opportunity to convey my best wishes for Your Excellency’s good health and long life and well being of the brotherly people of Sudan.”
