Thai companies eyeing Sudanese infrastructure projects
KHARTOUM, Dec 23, 2003 (SUNA) — Royal Thai Group of companies have expressed their desire to invest in infrastructure projects in Sudan – water, building and construction, as well as river transport.
Minister of Investment Al-Sharif Ahmad Umar Badr, receiving the visiting delegation Monday, appreciated Thai companies for entering Sudanese investment, saying investment atmosphere in Sudan is more convenient and conducive to the success of economic activities.
The delegation got elaborate briefing by Ministry of Investment Undersecretary Dr Abbas Muhammad Abbas on industrial, agricultural and services investment opportunities.
The Thai companies invited by the Sudan government are expected to sign protocols and contracts with Sudanese counterparts.
