Sudan’s Railway team visits RCF
KAPURTHALA, India, Dec 27, 2003 (PTI) — A high level Sudanese delegation headed by Transport Minister Mohd E Elwasila Elgamant today visited the Rail Coach Factory (RCF) here to explore the possibility of importing coaches from India.
The Rail Coach Factory (RCF) has already submitted its bid for the export of two sets of Diesel cars and four sets of Rail AC and non AC bus to the Sudan government and it is likely to be decided after the return of the delegation, a senior railway officer said.
RCF General Manager Mohd. Sirajuddin and the engineers of RCF explained different stages of coach manufacturing to the visiting delegates.
During the presentation, Sirajuddin highlighted the factory’s capability to manufacture forty variants of coaches and stainless steel coaches.
Sudan aims to enlarge railway infrastructure and intends to import different varieties of coaches, Elgamant said.
