ICC has no jurisdiction for Darfur trial – Sudan
Feb 27, 2007 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan’s justice minister said on Tuesday the International Criminal Court had no jurisdiction to try suspects for alleged crimes in the war-ravaged Darfur region of western Sudan.
“The court has no jurisdiction to try any Sudanese for any alleged crimes,” Justice Minister Mohamed Ali al-Mardi told a news conference.
