Ethiopia’s PM holds talks with IMF
March 8, 2007 (ADDIS ABABA) — The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that the economic growth registered in Ethiopia in the past consecutive three years have laid a foundation for similar growth in future.
The deputy director of the organization, while briefing journalists after his meeting with Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, said that according to the IMF research, Ethiopia is on the right track to register similar economic growth registered in the past consecutive three years. He also said that the Ethiopian per capital income would increase in future.
The deputy director of the IMF, who is on a two-day official visit in the country, is expected to give briefings tomorrow regarding his visit to Ethiopia.
