Sudan Airways to resume flights to Uganda
March 21, 2007 (KAMPALA) — Sudan’s main carrier, Sudan Airways, is to resume flights to Entebbe International Airport, following the procurement of three new Airbuses, the Ugandan New Vision reported.
“We had suspended flights to Uganda due to the breakdown of our equipment and some technical problems but we have secured three new aircraft to operate in Uganda,” said the district manager, Ramadan Mohamed Abdalla.
“We have purchased Airbus300, 310 and 320, and a Boeing731 would be here in two months,” he explained.
Abdalla said the flights would operate from Entebbe to Nairobi, Juba and Khartoum three times a week.
The official launch will be on April 1 at Entebbe.
“The new operations will ease transport between Uganda and the Sudan especially traders going to Juba,” Abdalla asserted
