Agreement Signed for Establishment of Sugar Project at Cost of 224 million Dollars
Kassala, April 3 (SUNA)- The Minister of Agriculture, Animal Resources and Irrigation, Majzoub Abu-Musa Majzoub, affirmed in a press statement to SUNA that his recent visit to Italy resulted in the signing of an agreement for establishment a factory for production of sugar from carrot in Kassala state, with a capacity of 10.000 tons of raw sugar, and at the cost of 224 million dollars. The minister said that the project will be implemented through the share-holding company’s system between the European Group by 25% and the state’s businessmen by 75%, the production of molases’ manufacturing at the capacity of 60.000 tons per year, besides other sub-products.
