Indications show positive progress in Sudanese talks in Naivasha, reporter

KHARTOUM, Jan 05, 2004 — Bilateral talks between Vice-President Ustadh [honorific] Ali Uthman Muhammad Taha and Col John Garang Chairman of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement continued today after more than one day stoppage.
Indications show positive progress on resources sharing. [Sudan] radio reporter in Naivasha [Kenya] said positive progress would be revealed within the next few hours.
Ustadh Ali Uthman Muhammad Taha and Col John Garang are expected to hold a meeting in a short time to continue discussing the topics [tabled] for negotiation.
