Jarch says to establish a foundation for Sudanese people
JARCH MANAGEMENT GROUP TO ESTABLISH THE JARCH FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT THE PEOPLE OF SUDAN
May 8, 2007 — Jarch Management Group will establish the Jarch Foundation. This foundation will be funded by Jarch for the sole purpose to benefit the people of Sudan. Further funding will also come from the Sudanese profits of Jarch. At least 10% of the profits of Jarch coming from Sudanese assets and operations will go into the Jarch Foundation. The foundation is expected to fund educational projects, health care initiatives, humanitarian needs among others.
Though Jarch is a for-profit company, we recognize and respect how and where we make our profits. It is vital for us, as a company, to not only reinvest in the people of the country but also to respect the land itself. Enhancing the growth of the local population will benefit all of us.
