Sudan’s military releases four detained ministers

November 4, 2021 (KHARTOUM) – Sudan’s top general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has released four ministers detained after the coup d’etat of 25 October, Sudan TV said on Thursday.

The released are Hamza Balloul information and culture Minister, Ali Gedo trade minister, Hashem Hassab Al-Rasoul minister of communication, and Youssif Adam youth and sports minister.

The release of the four ministers comes following reports that al-Burhan intends to try other detainees that allegedly insulted him and the Rapid Support Forces commander Mohamed  Hamdan  Daglo.

Also, it intervenes within the regional and international efforts to bring the Sudanese parties to strike a compromise paving the way for the restoration of the civilian-led government.

Al-Mahdi further called for the release of the prime minister, the member of the Sovereign Council Mohamed al-Faki, the cabinet affairs minister, the minister of industry, Khartoum governor, members of the Hamdok cabinet and the political leaders.
