SPLM political Campaign alarming in Pacong Payam to win election 2008

There is a great launching of SPLM political Campaign in Six Payam of Rumbek East County, since last week this month and still on going with claim of registrations of SPLM new members and New SPLM recruit to SPLM political party that will stand for the coming election in 2008 according to Mabor Mayen Wol the SPLM County secretary for Rumbek East express.

The newly appointed SPLM County Secretary for Rumbek East County Mabor Mayen Wol was also the former Commissioner for Rumbek East in 2003.
Wol said in the meeting that the SPLM liberation agenda brought the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and ushered the Sudan into a new democratic constitutional order with a highly decentralized system of government. The marginalized people have won the right to rule themselves in their areas without interference from Khartoum and to have a share of the national wealth.

During the struggle, we had prioritized and focused our energies building the SPLA, given the fact that armed struggle was the principal means of struggle in a civil war. SPLM is now tasked with providing a development agenda. SPLM cannot do this effectively without transforming itself into the leading mass political Party and place itself within the emerging pluralist democracy. At this stage, political struggle has become the principal means of struggle to realize our objectives, and a well organized Party is the most effective instrument needed to achieve the building of a just, peaceful and prosperous New Sudan.
SPLM in the Northern Sector launched last October a very successful drive to recruit and organize the Movement in Northern Sudan. Our aim is to recruit at least one million members in each sector. This is in realization of SPLM’s broad goal which as a transformed well organized mass political Party with over two million conscious and highly motivated members imbued with SPLM’s lofty values, concrete objectives, clear policies and trends, a Party with a clear message that reaches out to all sections of the Sudanese people; an SPLM that is capable of winning the General Elections and forming the next government that would be accountable and able to implement on our promises to the people.
This year SPLM declared to launch general registration current members and to recruit new SPLM members, and that is why you see a lot of those cars land-cruiser footprint here in your six (6) Payam’s of Rumbek East County.
Nevertheless, Mabor Mayen Wol, the SPLM County Secretary said that SPLM is the brilliant Party that had fought for 22 year and indeed SPLM had made a lot of mistake, and we accept our own wrong doing period” But SPLM also had brought to you many wonderful thing that had never been here since Sudan got her independent in 1956, SPLM had brought to you the CPA, Freedom Justice, Equality and also like now people are moving in Rumbek without insecurity, that is SPLM work. SPLM also had advance to Cattle camps to bring you safe drinking water, Soda, Beer, Plastic chairs, and everything that you are using at your houses are SPLM priorities.
