Position Paper: Darfur SLM will not take part in Juba conference

Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) see Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) as strategic ally, for the benefit of Sudan nations
to build one Sudan for all Sudanese nations, under the basis of the citizenship respecting the diversities of ethnics, religions , languages,
cultures , and geographical locations .

1- In terms of Juba conference Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM) not part of it, and (SLM) not responsible about any decisions would be taken in Juba conference. Sudan people Liberation Movement (SPLM) know where is Mr. Abdul Wahid Alnour chairman of the Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM). (SPLM) had much experiences about fragmentation did by National Congress Party in the past, how can (SPLM) equate between the individuals invented by National Congress Party or manufactured by other countries for solving, their problems with the Government of Sudan in terms of options deals and between the Sudan Liberation Movement which represent our nation and addressing their rights.

2-We need urgently from Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM), to use its strong influential role in the Government of Sudan as (SPLM) part of the Sudan Government, to let Government of Sudan do the following steps:-

A-Stop killing our nation in Darfur by aerial bombardment , by shooting from ground, stop raping our nation and other atrocities.

B- Disarm the Janjaweed militia.

C- Accept the deployment of UN forces in Darfur in the ground to protect civilians not in terms of tactical means to avoid diplomatic pressure.

D- Back displaces and refugees to their original villages under the protection of the UN force and (SLA) force also give them the compensations in term of corrective justices.

3- Sudan Liberation Movement under leadership Mr. Abdul Wahid Alnour ready to negotiate with Government of Sudan as soon as possible if the REQUIREMENTS in No 2 paragraph brought to action by the Government of Sudan, because we have zero trust on Government of Sudan, moving any steps by (SPLM) not addressing paragraph No 2 affect our strategic relation with (SPLM)

4-Sudan Liberation Movement need clear clarification form high profile leadership of Sudan People Liberation Movement about the double standard press lease by Dr. Lam Akol , and the Sudanese ambassador in United States of America for his speech about Darfurian which not acceptable for us.
