Sudan-European relations conference to open 18 January

KHARTOUM, Jan 16, 2004 (SUNA) — Foreign Minister Dr Mustafa Uthman Isma’il is to address the opening session of conference on Sudanese- European relations, scheduled for Sunday at the Grand Holiday Villa Hotel here.

The two-day conference will discuss the axis of relations with the European Union, economic axis, human rights and bilateral relations between Sudan and the European countries, said Muhammad al- Mubarak, Director of the Middle East and Africa Studies Centre and organizer of the conference.

The conference tends to explore EU’s post-war role and to enrich the Sudanese- European dialogue, he said.
