India to extend $4m loan to Sudan textile sector
July 21, 2007 (KHARTOUM) — India is likely to extend a $ 4 million credit to Sudan for development of textile industry, four domestic factories will profit from this loan.
A Sudanese resource at the Textile and Spinning Sector told the official SUNA that four million dollars from the Indian loan was assigned for rehabilitation and development of the public sector’s textile factories.
The source said that Duaim, Kosti and Shendi Textile Factories are being re-operated, together with Al-Haj Abdalla Textile Spinning Factory.
In February 2007, the public Indian Exim Bank has signed an agreement to offer US $48 million worth credit to Sudan for funding solar electrification, railway and other projects. It is the fourth line of credit to Sudan, in January, 2006 the public bank extended US $41.9 for power transmission and sub-station project.
The purpose of extending line of credits is to promote Indian exports and long-term economic relations with the Sudan.

Mr. Bruce
India to extend $4m loan to Sudan textile sector
I own a warpknitting textile factory in the u.s.a. and i am looking to sell my machines. Your country can benefit from a purchase like this because new machines cost a few hundred thousand dollars each, while used machines thru machine dealers cost almost as much. I am willing to sell my karl mayer tricots, multibar lace and raschel machines at a fraction of the price, and they operate very well for little money outlay. If anyone is interested in starting production and a factory they should contact me and I will give you all the information necessary.Thankyou for your time and hopeful interest.
