Sudanese military delegation ends Vietnam visit

August 26, 2007 (HCM City) — Gen. Haj Ahmed El Gaili, Chief of Joint Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces, left Ho Chi Minh City on 24 August, concluding an official friendship visit to Vietnam .

During the visit, Gen. Haj Ahmed El Gaili and his delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong, Defence Minister Phung Quang Thanh, Vietnam News Agency said.

The Sudanese military delegation also hold talks with a delegation from the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), paid a courtesy visit to leaders of the commands of Military Zones 5, 7 and Navy Zone 3.

The delegation visited a vocational school, a traditional medicine institute and two factories of the VPA.

The Sudanese officers made a sightseeing tour of Ha Long Bay, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
