State minister lauds progress in political, economic ties with France
KHARTOUM, Jan 26, 2004 (SUNA) — State Minister at the Ministry of External Relations Najib al-Khayr Abd-al-Wahhab has welcomed French foreign minister’s visit to Sudan next month, tending to boost further bilateral relations. The minister made the remark in a meeting with French ambassador to Khartoum Saturday.
Abd-al-Wahhab has commended the great progress in joint political and economic ties, the increasing contacts and consultation between the two countries and expansion of France’s investment and economic cooperation and rehabilitation programme in Sudan.
Abd-al-Wahhab said Sudan is keen on holding the joint political and economic consultation committee’s session in the first quarter of this year to crystallize economic and political cooperation, exchange joint benefits and achieve common goals.
