Dutch defence minister to arrive in Khartoum on 27 January

KHARTOUM, Jan 27, 2004 — Dutch ministers of defence [Kamp Henk] and development cooperation [Agnes van Ardenne] are expected to arrive in Khartoum this evening on a three-day visit to the country.

The minister of state in the Ministry of External Affairs, Abd- al-Wahab Najib-al-Khayr, discussed with the Dutch charge d’affaires in Khartoum, Adrian Bosman [as heard], the arrangements of the visit by the two ministers to the country.

During the visit, the ministers are expected to meet government officials to be briefed on the latest situation in Sudan, in addition to the peace process, bilateral ties and development projects funded by the Netherlands, especially resource development and military arrangements during the transitional period.
