Sudan ruling party weighs response to SPLM decision on partnership

October 11, 2007 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party said that is weighing response to the decision by their Southern partner Sudan People Liberation Army (SPLM) to suspend participation in the national unity government.

Mustafa_Osman_Ismail_ad.jpg Presidential Advisor Mustafa Osman Ismail told the daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat said that they have not formally received the decision by the SPLM but will respond when they do.

Yesterday the SPLM decided to suspend their participation in the national unity government because of what they describe as the NCP’s failure to fully implement crucial elements of the CPA.

“He who thinks that we [NCP] will reverse our positions through pressure and provocation of foreign countries is dreaming” Ismail said.

The senior Sudanese official said that his party is committed to the peace agreement and that there are various committees looking into resolving the pending issues with the SPLM.

“We don’t care if their [SPLM] ministers are in the North or the South; we will not stop what we are doing and will not respond to pressure” he stressed.

The 2005 peace agreement brokered by the US and other western countries ended two decades of civil war between the Arab and Muslim-dominated north and the mainly Christian and animist black southerners.

Sudan ruling party weighs response to SPLM decision on partnership
    This goes to Mr.Presidential Advisor
Mustafa Osman Ismail.since I was born in
Sudan and had left Sudan since 1986.
my dad was killed by the Government
troops of Sudan. If you ask me today how
my dad look like,I will not tell you.
also,my mam died when I was five Years
    old in the village.

finally, civil war reach my home town.
and I had been captured by pagara who
were send by Sudan’s Government to go
    to Southern Sudan to enslave,kill,
    tortured,humiliate e.t.c . I was escape
from pagara call them self Maram.I will
not forget that distruction they did in
    the South.

    Now,since I lefted Sudan in 1986,I have
been a refugee for almost seven-teen
Year.now,I live the way I want to live.
    but,not in Sudan.

Now, let us be real, the truth is,
    whent C.P.A was signed b/n North-South
    event outside Sudan,North-South people
used to gather together and have meals
and drink togather.but now,not any more
and this will created big problem to the
new generation who are coming.and last,
    the current Sudan’s ruling National
Party shaped it’s self for the better
    of this young generation.

    Otherwise,every parent in Sudan,will
teach their kids this is what the
Northern people did to us and your grand
    parent.like in North,they teach their
kids that South have no right in Sudan.
and must be treated as second class.

    Since,the Government is playing game
to the SPLA/M.this C.P.A will be no
different with 1972 Addis ababa peace
accord in Ethiopia.what do you say?.

INFACT THEY SHOULD NOT CARE BECAUSE THEY ARE ENEMIES OF PEACE.SPLM WILL CARE BECAUSE THEY ARE OWNERS OF CPA.
ONE DAY THEY WILL CARE IF SPLM IS GOING TO STAND FIRM ON THEIR FEET.
A TERRORIST DOES NOT CARE OF PEACE,THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRORIST IN THEIR NATURE AND THEIR GOVERNMENT.THE EVIDENCE ARE SHOWN IN DARFURE AND IN THE WAR OF SOUTH SUDAN ALREADY.
