Southern Sudan front says withdrawal decision reflects SPLM troubles
October 14, 2007 (KHARTOUM) — The newly formed Southern Sudan Democratic Front (SSDF) has accused the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) of failing to administer southern Sudan affairs, adding that the decision of suspending participation in the government of national unity reflects the internal problems being faced by the former rebel movement.
In a statement to pro ruling National Congress Party, SMC, a prominent leader in SSDF, David de Chand said the SSDF would hold a press conference during the week to announce its position over the progress of implementation of peace pact and to expose activities indulged by the SPLM in the southern Sudan.
He further said that the SPLM violated the peace deal and that is by not withdrawing from Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile State, saying that the Sudan Armed forces withdrew 75 per cent of its forces from south. He wondered where 3bn dollars received by SPLM from the central government had gone because it was not used to develop the south.
De Chand pointed out that some SPLM leaders were seeking to give in to demands from their friends abroad even if it leads to collapse of the peace agreement.
He called on SPLM’s leaders to stop gesturing secession before its peace partners, adding that the right of self-determination will be decided at the referendum that will be held in southern Sudan at the end of the interim period.

SSDF we should not behave childish. Your action portray to us Southerners that your party is perpetrator who fights from behind in order to give a clear water to an Arab as Reak Marchar did when he defected from the SPLM and back the northerners to fight against SPLM so that the Arabs could go ahead with exploration of oil in Unity State and other militias were opening the area of Melut basin.
If you want to challenge SPLM come to Juba and declare your position as an opposition main group of southern Sudan. Sell out your objective as a party as oppose to hypocrisy attitude. Where were you when this party was negotiating with NCP/NIF the CPA?

Arabs’ traitors only deserve no comment on what they say because it is the same to that of their master. During the struggle I never saw De Chan carry a gun in south sudan to liberate the south. Those who know best how to administer the south are those who paid for it. And the SPLM/A is the only one.
If De chan want to add something to the making of south sudan let him go to juba and start it there, instead of disturbing the displaced southerners in khartoum. Those displaced persons are waiting for dry season to go to south ,but not disturbances from this failed politician in person of De chan.

I think folks like Dechand and likes with great expectation better observe and understand the feelings and what is in the minds of every southerner currently.
At this dark moment,people of southern sudan don’t have a single mini-second to hear from PhD holders, analyst,or witchdoctors, not even if you were former disciple of Jesus Christ, all southerners want to hear is for someone to tell them to cock their guns and be ready to fight if Khartoum government want so.
You also need to understand southerners as people with very thin tempers who don’t welcome prolong stories. Of course they are tired of Khartoum perpetual limbless lies.
I know what some of you are trying to say, all of them may not be wrong, but simply, I think you delivered them at wrong time.

Dear All I think it will be better to form a think tank group who will make research on our PhD holders, I think something is wrong somewhere with their brains because most of our PhD holders turn to be destructives then our ordinary citizen.
Somebody like Paulino Matiep who is not educated knows how important to be with your people is the best way to change their attitude toward you.
De Chan need to revisit his stance and he need to appologise to people of the south if he feel like he want to lead in the south, his accademics mind is so shallow enough to degrade him into a level of two years old child who knows her mam and dad only.
