Sudan Ethiopia border development meeting to begin Tuesday

October 14, 2007 (ADDIS ABABA) — The 10th Ethio-Sudanese Joint Border Development Commission meeting would be held on Tuesday in Gambella town, according to Gambella State Information Bureau.
In a press briefing today Bureau Head, Abraham Michael said the two day joint meeting from October 16 to 17 would dwell upon security, trade, agriculture, health and other development matters.
The conference is believed to contribute its share to enhance the cultural and socio-economic relations between the two countries, Abraham said.
Some 150 participants, including Sudanese officials, chief administrators of Amhara, Tigray, Benshangul-Gumz, SNNP states are expected to attend the meeting, he added.
