Pray for our Sudan and our leaders

By Rev Dr Sirisio Louis Oromo

October 19, 2007 — The heart of God is expressed in the Bible and prayers as to His concern for the government leaders and leadership by telling us as Christians that we should pray in this vein when we see what is taking place in our Country today. The suffering is the daily life of our people, while injustice, corruptions, tribalism, and nepotism are the system of the day.

The dilemma we find ourselves in today, I believe, has a remedy. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 says “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.”

1Timothy 2:1-4 pray for those in leadership, the state, local and national levels. Pray that they would fear God, be capable, trustworthy, hate dishonest gain and for righteousness to thrive that we may rejoice and for our nation that all would know the truth that all created by God.

The meaning of this scripture is very clear. Please join as we humble ourselves and praying for our Leaders.

– H.E President Omar El Bashir.
– H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit our President of South Sudan for God to Guide and protect him.
– Pray for the implementation of CPA as it was agreed upon.
– Cabinet Ministers and State Governors, both in the North and South.
– Members of Assembly both in Juba and in the States. Civil Servants.
– Let us pray for justice to be done in Sudan .
– Let us pray for Darfur situation.

We are all called to respect our leaders, Romans 13:1. —– for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Let us prayer for our President H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit. We are so blessed that we a have president who Fears president who fears God.

Thank you are for taking your time for Praying for our beloved Country the Sudan and for Our Leaders.
