Chief of SPLA staffs urges soldiers to adopt change

25 Oct 2007, (RUMBEK) -– On Wednesday this week, FVP and President of GOSS H.E. 1st Lt. General Salva Kiir Mayardit made a seven hours visits to Lakes state capital of Rumbek whereby his as meet with Sudan people liberation army (SPLA) for graduation in Southward of Rumbek central county about eight (8) miles.
South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir warned some 394 newly graduated colonels from the Malou Commandant Infantry School against internal corruption in Lakes State during a trip there on Wednesday.
The President also told the colonels to respect those below their rank, and to cooperate with local authorities.
Kiir also briefed the military on current political changes in Sudan, including an update on the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement’s (SPLM) decision earlier in the month to withdraw all their ministers and advisors from the national government.
“The Sudan Peoples Liberation Army (SPLA) will not going back to war again (which is) in the interest of the enemies of peace in Sudan,” said Kiir.
According SPLA chief of staff Oyai Deng Ajak for Sudan people liberation army (SPLA soldiers) to change their harassment behaviours and to adopt the changes of bringing justice, equally for all Sudanese people. To adopts a change through transformation is must be now the right objective. He added that John Garang Memorial college will be establish for training especially secondary school level who will be interesting to join military, will be highly welcome through that college later. To product the soldiers is a matter of one year and trains them is the solution for their protection in the coming years a head of your mission “Oyai said”
Nevertheless, Paulino Matip Nhial told Sudan Tribune that SPLA/M is behind CPA protection and we are hear today to execute the order of our leader Salva Kiir Mayardit the commander in chief of SPLA and chairman of SPLM.
Matip call upon the SSDF to join the SPLA/M from wherever they are specially those who have not rejoined the struggle movement of Sudan people liberation movement (SPLM/A) since the signing the CPA in 2005.
Lakes State governor Lt. Daniel Awet Akot offer five (5) first class bulls to rank of graduates colonels in Infantry school Malou as sign of happiness for long patient of new conolnes rank stay since May 2007 under training without causing insecurity in the state. Governor Awet explains that our current leadership as been destroy by war and now the SPLM/A must create to change and to train every child in Southern Sudan to become a leader for tomorrow. The youth of today are the youth of peace and we are proud to call them the leaders of peace for Sudan not again the youth for war in Sudan.
According Minister for the SPLA Affairs Dominic Diem Deng encourage education by saying that event 50 years old man must to be trains in all file and rank, there are no limited of year standardize for training around the globe. There are more grievances in Sudan that need education to overcome crisis. We are all alerts that military is only train to slaughter a person but now the world had advance and we must change our mine to adopt the transformation of SPLA into justice society instead of threat.
SPLA have many people who can not event write or read and they are now fighting with us together and they are better than people who write, for those who assume themselves that they write and read and those who can not write, I would like to assure you all that, it is not the end of your life; struggle will continually and education must also continues with us wherever the life of SPLA could end over the world “Dominic Said”
