Asia Crude-Sudan sells Feb Nile Bld sharply stronger

December 26, 2007 (SINGAPORE) — Sudan sold 2 million barrels of February-loading Nile Blend crude via tender at sharply stronger differentials to two trading houses, traders said on Wednesday.

Sudanese state oil firm Sudapet sold 1 million barrels of Nile Blend at a discount close to $1.20 a barrel to Minas Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) to Japanese trader Mitsubishi, and another similar cargo to European trader Arcadia at a weaker $1.45/1.50 discount, traders said.

The levels are sharply stronger than a month ago when Sudan sold January Nile Blend at discounts of between $3.55 and $4.55 to the Minas ICP.

Sudan had then offered 4 million barrels of Nile Blend crude for January loading.
