SPLM national convention is a step in a right direction

I appreciate the SPLM leadership for this wonderful news. The marginalized people of the Sudan have been waiting for this news for long. Since the signing of the CPA and the death of the SPLM founding leader the movement have faced many high waves of political crisis. The marginalized people of the Sudan were once again thrown into doudt about what the CPA hold for them after the suspicious death of their heroic leader, Dr John Garang de Mabior.
The minds of the marginalized people of the Sudan is clouded with the fears of what the new splm leadership is really standing for. The southern allies in the north, such as Nubians, people from eastern blue nile, Darfurian and all marginalized people in the north. Many feel that, the new splm leadership lean too much to independent south sudan rather than exploring all available alternatives to address the sudanese problems mainly cause by successive minority cliques in Khartoum.
The fear of our allies in the north is not out of blue. The NCP has succeeded in reducing the SPLM to be a southern party rather than to be a national party. NCP is now working hard to convince it northern opponents who were former allies of SPLM to either join NCP or make some kind of coalition. NCP had seen this as a crucial step in weakening SPLM national credibibility. Now, the northern supporters of the SPLM are always harrass or intimidated by NIF security agents. This is done to stop their connection to splm.
SPM national convention need to be convince urgently to address these doudts. The convention would restore the confident of the marginalized people of the sudan in the new SPLM leaderships. SPLM must work hard to include all representatives from differnt areas of the sudan in the convention. Southern political parties who have opinions on how the problem of the sudan should be addressed need to be given a chance in the convention to express their side of the coin.
Long live SPLM!
long live southern sudan!
long live the marginalized people!
long live the new sudan vision!
Long live the sudanese people!
