Regarding the implementation of the comprehensive peace agreement and disagreement over Abyei Al-Mirghani affirmed that bilateral agreements do not solve problems and the homeland for all and must involve all political forces affecting weight in Sudan, pointing out that a comprehensive national reconciliation and to Egypt can be a great role to play in this regard
He added that such problems can be examined in the framework of comprehensive national reconciliation and the situation is not bilateral between the SPLM and the National Congress and we hope through national reconciliation be able to reach the appropriate formula that satisfies everyone.

For his part, said Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Egyptian Hossam Zaki that the meeting with Aboul Gheit Merghani came in the context of the Standing exerted by Egypt with all the political forces in Sudan to support the comprehensive peace and stability in Sudan, pointing out that the meeting touched on the evaluation of the preparations for the elections next in the Sudan, and the Federal Party’s proposal to hold a conference of national reconciliation in Sudan destruction, in addition to discussing developments in the Darfur crisis and the course of the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in Sudan.
Zaki, explained that the Foreign Minister said during the meeting, Egypt and follow-up attention to developments in the situation in Sudan, pointing to the efforts and contacts made by Egypt with all regional and international parties concerned, and with the United Nations and the African Union, to find a speedy settlement to the Darfur crisis.
The spokesman added that the Egyptian Foreign meeting between Foreign Minister Mr. Mohamed Othman Al-Mirghani revealed the consensus views on the priority of support stability and comprehensive peace in Sudan, and supporting the dialogue among all the sons of Sudan in order to reach a common vision for confronting the challenges facing Sudan
