Sudapet tenders 10 mln bbls of Nile Blend crude
SINGAPORE, Feb 18 (Reuters) – Sudanese state oil firm Sudapet has issued a tender to sell 10 million barrels of Nile Blend crude for lifting from April to June, traders said on Wednesday.
The tender for the medium-sweet crude closes Thursday, with bids valid until Monday, a trader said.
The tender offered 3.6 million barrels for April loading, 3.2 million barrels for May loading and 3.2 million barrels in June, he added.
In a recent tender, Malaysia’s state-run Petronas [PETR.UL], a stakeholder in the Nile Blend oil fields, sold 600,000 barrels of the crude for March lifting at a discount of about 30 cents a barrel to Minas crude, traders said.
The trader added that current production for Nile Blend was about 260,000 barrels per day.
Sudapet owns a five percent stake in the field. Other stakeholders are India’s state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corp and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China’s biggest oil producer.
