Sudan’s Lakes state to get mobile internet connection

February 22, 2008 (RUMBEK) – Lakes state soon will get its mobile internet connection and landline telephone for office and homes.
The Sudanese internet providing Company, M-Marsat Mobile internet company, will very soon to provide mobile internet services and landline telephones for office and home uses in the State as soon as the testing is finalized.
Speaking to journalists on Friday, the Lakes State Minister of Information and Communication, Adak Costa Mapuor said that there is need for the people of Lakes State to have access to the modern communication and information systems:
Minister Adak further said that the company will also extend the service as far as to the rural areas.
She pointed out the mobile telephone network MTN which is also constructing its tower in Rumbek will begin to get underway their operation in the State in the nearest future.
