French FM arrives in Khartoum for one-day visit

‏KHARTOUM, Feb 20, 2004 (KUNA) — French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin ‏‏arrived here Friday for an official one-day visit to discuss bilateral ‏‏relations, the peace process in the Sudan and the ongoing conflict in the ‏‏Darfour region.

‏He told reporters at Khartoum international airport that his visit represents ‏‏a push for bilateral relations to higher levels that serve interests of both ‏‏countries.
‏

De Villepin will meet Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir and his Sudanese ‏counterpart Mustafa Othman Ismail.
