Sudan offers 2.6 mln bbls May Nile Blend
March 18, 2008 (SINGAPORE) — Sudan has offered via tender 2.6 million barrels of Nile Blend crude for May loading, slightly less than the 3.2 million barrels it offered for April, a trader said on Tuesday.
The tender closes on March 26, the trader added, with offers to remain valid until March 28.
Last month, Sudan sold 600,000 barrels of the heavy sweet crude to Japanese trader Mitsubishi at a discount to Minas Indonesia Crude Price (ICP) of around $2.00 a barrel, traders said then.
It also sold 1.6 million barrels to European trader Trafigura at a weaker discount around $3.00 and 1 million barrels to Chinese trader ChinaOil at around a $4.00 discount, traders said.
