VP Dagalo meets ex-Council of Churches Secretary General

September 29, 2022 (KHARTOUM) – The Vice President of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt-Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo met the former Secretary General of Sudan’s Council of Churches (SCC), Rev. William Deng in the capital, Khartoum on Thursday.

During the meeting, Deng commended Daglo’s effort toward peace in Sudan and South Sudan as well as in reconciling social components in the country.

He urged Daglo to ensure consensus is reached among the civil political components to complete the transition to maintain peace and stability in Sudan.

The former Secretary General also briefed Daglo about the efforts of the Sudan Council of Churches in building peace for the realization of peaceful and social co-existence.
