Sudanese-UAE commercial exchange volume increases to 200m dollars

ABU DHABI, Feb 21, 2004 (SUNA) — Sudanese-UAE commercial exchange volume jumped to 200 million dollars in 2003 from 60 million dollars in 2000, announced Economic Counsellor Nur-al-Huda Fath-al-Alim.

Fath-al-Alim described in a statement to SUNA the joint economic ties as firm and progressing.

UAE has contributed in building Sudanese infrastructures including Merowi dam and some agricultural investments, he said.

Sudan investment act has helped attract investments, he added.
