Sudan, Libya agree to implement border road

April 15, 2008 (KHARTOUM) — Sudan and Libya signed an agreement in the area include the implementation of the borderline road linking Dongola-Owainat and Owainat-El Fasher sectors.

The memorandum of understanding was signed today by the visiting Libyan minister of communication and transport and the Sudanese Mabrouk Mubarak Salim, Minister of State in the Ministry of Transport and roads and bridges.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in all areas of rehabilitation of infrastructure and promotion of investment in railways in addition to the development of maritime transport and ports.
