95 killed and 42 wounded in clashes between Warrap state and Lakes state

April 25, 2007 (KHARTOUM) — Lakes state minister of Information and Communication, Agad Chol Mabuog has said, that 95 people both-side have been killed and 42 people both-sides wounded between Luach-jiang of Warrap state and Lakes state Pakam in Rumbek north county of Maper in Malueth payam.
Speaking on phone to Sudan Tribune on Friday morning, Agad detailed that among 95 killed, Rumbek has lost 43 people confirmed dead and Luach-jiang with 61 confirmed dead too.
Both side had 42 seriously wounded as well Rumbek have 24 people seriously wounded including 3 women admitted at Rumbek regional hospital. The fighting had started earlier since Tuesday in the border of Maper county Rumbek North County in place called Kak in Malueth Payam as well the cause of fighting was cattle rustling between Luach-jiang communities of Warrap state and Pakam of Lakes state.
On Thursday, the governor of Lakes state Daniel Awet and United Nation mission in Sudan (UNMIS) visited the site of Maper County in Rumbek north and found tens of bodies on the ground. According to Lakes state governor Awet said that the situation is under control as well the forces of Sudan people liberation army (SPLA) has been deployed in the area.
Nevertheless, the commissioner of North Rumbek John Biliu Wol, said that, the two sides destroyed census material forms, burned houses and looted relief food and medicines. However the Information minister said the census material forms are going to be supply to Rumbek North County by Central County within next few hours to complete census.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rumbek north Census Field Supervisor for Kak Payam, Martin Manyiel Wugol, told Sudan Tribune that the attack took place at 4 O’clock am where Census materials including twelve boxes of short questionnaires form, and personal belongings with including their money were burnt down by attackers. He concluded that the fighting has affected the census in North Rumbek County.

Serious action ha ha ha i think same people are really beind the word “understanding” what is the problems of Jonglei state with cattle riding and children abducting,before we beleive that Murle are the troublemaker so now it’s general activities across the state,will this solve any issues among oursevles,i think that we are all 100% fertile so why do some people prefer to creating something of this kind within our region of South.I recommand that,the particular state of Jonglei which has become an engine of those cases must be handle with open eyes through laws otherwise capital punishment must apply to others a warning to avoid further spreading of such HIV across the beauty of Southern.if any one within the particular state was born as barren he/she must report him/herself to the nearest office of health minister so that any necessary actions can be apply if possible,because throughout human brains nothing is impossible except the end of life “die”.

please can Mr president get to understand right now that,he has a huge respesoniblity to do within South,we are waiting for referendum in 2011 yet Abeyi,LRA,Ambororo and internal tribes are aiming on wrong behaviours,causing problems and all this cases should be simple to be solved according to my view just if South is under real and ambitious leadership,we do love our leaders,but only the ability of their performance was not equivalent to the expected standard.so in this point i would assure every Southerner that if we are relaying on rotten agenders,the result will be equally to a man who was kicked out of his house because of being arrogant.what is the desire of current leadership in our nation and soon we will be the losers.
Street policy.that silly idea of disarming people by words should not be attempt,when am telling logically yet same are getting into arguement,so where did those guns comes from if the area was disarm,i recommand that in particular state of Jonglei,every family must hand two or three guns to Goss if we are hoping to live silent without such issues,because the weapons own by particular state is imaginable by expertise person as i had mentioned before.

The tragedy was one of the worst clashes ever happened within the Dinka community. I condem this fighting,it should not repeat itself again within the new Sudan leave alone brotherly Dinka people. It is a regretful act,instead we would settle and enjoy the fruits of peace rathar than creating such conflicts, the peace that claimed alot of lifes from us during the libration for it.
However,I request my brothers (Luach-jiang and Pakam)people to initiate and replant peace between them.
I suggest with request that the GOSS should luanch immediate investigation on the problem which I suspect it might have been politically motivated by external forces.
The calprits(both indirect & direct) should be brought to book without compromising any.
Again, the government should speed up disarmment in the area.

it is really the bad sign for the lost of green life of cattle youth in the south genrerally and Greater Bahr-el-ghazal in particular, Lakes state people or Agar in particular are termed as the cause of the conflict and now they are they whom people attack at their cattle/village state.
Pakam is extremely cut from lakes HQRs because of Road only, and they are the most people who have contributed to the CPA of today too much.

First and foremost my heartfelt condolences to the families of the dead and to the people of Lakes State and Warrap State. Secondly, my sympathy goes to the wounded and heart-broken individuals affected by this horrific inhumane act. May I wish them quick recovery as God retores their strength back and gives them hope in their lifes.
I would also like to join the fellows who have already condermed the incident by saying, that barbaric action is unacceptable and it’s a criminal for brothers to kill their own brothers for PETTY, PETTY THINGS. Supposingly, this would be an opportunity of peace to prevail into the South Sudan communities. Time to embrace each other and focuss on things that unite us rather than those that disunite us.
As I finish, may I call upon that boy who calls himself Big Logic to revisit reading this articule and help find out who were really involved in that fight and which States they come from before …. Laughing and writing myopic. Please, look before you leap! Otherwise, may God intervention guides authorities in solving this situation.

when part of your body is sick your body as a whole suffers the pain, the UNMIS Soldiers are money interested and love their life more than money hence trust in their peace keeping mission is an escalation of the death cases.
Please GoSS Leaders employ the same means used to bring peace between SPLM and NCP for our brothers before it is too late, life is lost once and for all as did unrecoverable Fredom fighter, John Garang.
