French delegations to visit Sudan next month
KHARTOUM, Feb 27, 2004 (SUNA) — Three French delegations are due to visit Sudan next month to discuss joint political, cultural and parliamentary cooperation, announced Sudan Ambassador to France Abd-Basit al-Sanousi, in a statement to Suna.
The first delegation, expected here on second March, will be headed by chairman of the Sudanese-French Friendship Society while the second delegation will arrive here mid March and will be headed by the chairman of foreign affairs committee at the French parliament , he said. The delegation draws chairman of the French Parliamentary Friendship Committee.
The third delegation, scheduled to comprise the chairman of Paris-based Arab World Institute along with the French President’s advisor, will arrive by next month.
The visits, following the recent successful visit by the French foreign minister to Sudan, come within the progressing political, economic and cultural ties, said the ambassador, pointing out that the mutual visits have resulted in positive developments in the relations between Khartoum and Paris.
