Sudanese, French interior ministers discuss terrorism, illegal immigration

PARIS, Mar 01, 2004 (SUNA) — Minister of Interior Maj-Gen Abd-al-Rahim Muhammad Husayn and his French counterpart, Sarkozy Nicolas, discussed the developing relations linking Sudan and France and the current situations in Sudan, particularly the peace process and the situations in Darfur states.

This came when the minister of interior was received by his French counterpart as part of his current visit to France.

The meeting focused on boosting the cooperation between the ministries of interior and the relevant agencies in the two countries, especially in the field of training of police, equipment, mutual visits, combating terrorism and controlling illegal immigration.

The French minister, on his part, appreciated the invitation extended to him by Maj-Gen Abd-al-Rahim to visit Sudan this year.
