Egypt, Sudan hold security talks

KHARTOUM, Mar 04, 2004 (MENA) — Major General Sayyid Husayn Uthman, the acting director of the Sudanese police, discussed on Thursday with an Egyptian security delegation led by Maj-Gen Muhammad Abd-al-Rashid, the director of the training and development college of the Police Academy, aspects of security cooperation between the two countries.

Uthman said that the Sudanese side was keen to render the Egyptian delegation’s visit a success, expressing hope that the visit would be a good start for continued cooperation.

The delegation inspected some facilities of the Sudanese police, including the general department of criminal investigations.
