Truck accident kills seven people in Rumbek

August 7 2008 (RUMBEK) — A tipper truck belonging to Rumbek local businessman has killed seven people and seriously injured nine people who are now admitted at Rumbek regional hospital.

An eye witness told Sudan Tribune that the accident took place between Cueibet County and Aberiu at distance of 33 miles away from Lakes state capital Rumbek on Wednesday.

The tipper truck accident took place on Wednesday while 16 persons where on broad traveling from Western Bhar-El-Gazal state (Wau) to Lakes state – (Rumbek).

The traffic police said that tipper was on high speed as well the driver lost control.

Meanwhile, Rumbek regional hospital said that amongst 16 on broads, only three people were escaped injury.

Also three dead bodies are still in the morgue while four dead bodies were already taken by their relative in Cueibet in the same day.
