“Minnawi got more than he deserves” Musa Hilal, leader of the Darfurian Arab Mahameed clan told the daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper today.

However the tribal leader has vowed to exercise “self denial” for the sake of Darfur.

Hilal said that Minnawi was ignored by the government after coming in as an official following him signing the Darfur Peace Agreement (DPA) in May 2006.

This month Taha and Minnawi signed an agreement renewing both sides adherence to the DPA and agreed to move forward in order to enforce it within one month maximum.

Minnawi left the Sudanese capital 4 months ago and informally suspended his participation in the government leading to speculations that he defected from the government of national unity.

It was reported at the time that he arrived in the Chadian capital and met with President Idriss Deby. However the former rebel leader firmly denied these reports.

Hilal also complained about being sidelined and described himself as a “decoration” since joining the Sudanese cabinet. He further said that the government will only listen to figures which threaten to boycott their participation.

In January the Sudanese president Omar Hassan Al-Bashir issued a decree appointing Hilal as an adviser for the ministry of federal government.

The 43 years old was jailed by the Sudanese authorities in 1998 for leading armed robbery of the central bank in the city of Nyala in Darfur. However Ali Osman Taha secured his release in 2002 to lead Arab militias against the Darfur rebels.

The UN Security Council imposed travel and financial sanctions on Hilal and three other individuals in April 2006. The US president George Bush issued an executive order enforcing similar sanctions on them.

The Darfur conflict began in 2003 when an ethnic minority rose up against the Arab-dominated government in Khartoum, which then was accused of enlisting the Janjaweed militia group to help crush the rebellion.

Even though two tribes are disputed over within Darfur minority. Musa Hilal is from Rizeigat Tribe and Minni Minawi and Chadian President Idriss Deby are from Zaghawa Tribe which they have been conflicting together in Darfur Day 1st.
Even though it is not really involved with Khartoum, but which it hidden the Khartoum governments are Rizeigat and Mahr Tribes which considering themselves as Semites Tribes against African Maghreb Sub-Saharan Tribes of Fur, Zaghawa, and Masserit Tribes…
This conflicts seems similar within Sudan.
But most of all, Two tribes most unite and work together as One United Darfur referendum in 2011…
More of all, Minawi has less intension over Darfur referendum in 2011 from Sudan than to be unite with Khartoum by the advise from VP Taha.
Which is okey, but his reaction towards Darfur most given authorized towards Musa Hilal as a leader of Darfur in 2011, because his understanding of Middle Eastern culture rather than Minawi…
So, let’s bring VP Taha again with Musa Hilal from Rizeigat Tribe of Fezzan minority in North Sudan.

I’m so surprised to heard that the most wanted man in Sudan for war crime and genocide in Defer is appointed as an advisor to Bashir, what hell is this for Government of Sudan, is this an other Taliban Government in Sudan, base about four presidential advisors( Riak Gai, Ali Nafi, Mustafa Husman and Malual Madut) are been accused of involvement in terrorism and again bashir is adding an other terrorist to the list of so-called advisors, what kind of advice does bashir want from the man who is the leader of Notorious group Janjaweed and a man who was accused of bank robbery in Nyala. I would like to advice Mr. Bashir that if u do not disassociate your self with these terrorists group then u will follow Mr. Sadam into the grave.
