Sudan issues new tender for Dar Blend crude
October 14, 2008 (TOKYO) – Sudan issued a new tender to sell 2 million barrels of the acidic Dar Blend crude for November delivery according to a trader who spoke to Reuters.
The tender closes on October 13, and is valid until October 15, the trader added.
It is not clear what the average bid for the offer would be but the last tender was sold for $23 a barrel.
The Dar blend acidic nature makes it unattractive to most refiners hence the steep discount as compared to average world prices of oil.
