August 21, 2024 (KHARTOUM BAHRI) – The Khartoum Bahri Emergency Room reported a significant increase in epidemic rates in several areas on Wednesday, amidst ongoing conflict and a deteriorating health situation.

The chamber had previously revealed a rise in watery diarrhoea cases on August 12th, with infections reaching 116 in Khartoum Bahri.

A member of the Bahri Emergency Room told Sudan Tribune that the region has seen high rates of infection with watery diarrhoea, malaria, typhoid, and dysentery since the beginning of August.

The number of watery diarrhoea cases has reached 200, averaging 10 cases per day, in addition to 300 malaria cases, averaging 15 cases per day.

Typhoid cases have reached 240 infections, averaging 12 cases per day, while dysentery cases have reached 200 infections, averaging 10 cases per day.
