The meeting will include leaders of the Umma party Sadiq Al-Mahdi, Popular Congress Party (PCP) Hassan Al-Turabi and Secretary General of communist party Mohamed Ibrahim Nugud.

No date has been set for the summit but the independent Al-Sahafa said that it is likely to be held in the coming days.

The report of the summit comes amidst a new national initiative launched by president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir to resolve the five year conflict in Darfur.

Darfur rebel groups and opposition parties excluding the Umma Party boycotted the forum.

The rebels accused Khartoum of trying to divert the international community and delay the resolution of the conflict.

Others political parties spoke about prefixed resolutions and blamed government for ignoring them.

Some figures at the National Congress Party (NCP) have indicated that are unwilling to give concessions on certain issues.

The leading figure at the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) and presidential adviser Nafi Ali Nafi was quoted as saying that they will not accept a single region for Darfur or formation of a national unity government with wider representation.

Nafi said that the NCP share in the government is not open for compromise.

Sudan will conduct its first national elections next year for new president and parliament. However opposition parties and rebel groups said that it cannot be held while the Darfur conflict is raging.

Moreover political forces have constantly complained from laws restricting freedom of expression and political activities as well as unlimited powers to the security apparatus.

NORMAL PEOPLE HAVE SOMTHING TO SAY!!!
You have to read the abstention final consequence fall not only on the NCP but on the country’s existence and integrity. Regardless of Sudan current bottle-neck-sit maker, awareness of eminent country collapse should give real indications in whomsoever call himself a politician to act beyond capacity and self-denial only to help hold country together then after, raise questions of power conflict. All national Sudanese parties’ main mission now to save the country’s future to be or not to be otherwise history will never forgive anybody in the circle now because all of them will be held responsible for Sudan disperse.
