October 23, 2024 (OMDURMAN) – Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shelling killed four civilians and wounded 23 others in Omdurman on Wednesday, the Khartoum state health ministry said.

The RSF continued to shell Omdurman neighbourhoods under army control. The army is working to restore basic services and clear unexploded ordnance.

“The militia continued its deliberate shelling of residential neighbourhoods,” Khartoum state health ministry spokesman Mohamed Ibrahim said in a statement. “Four people were killed and 23 others wounded in the latest attack.”

Ibrahim said the shelling hit the Al-Thawra and Umm Bada neighbourhoods. The injured were taken to Al-Naw Hospital.

He added that the ministry was unable to determine the number of casualties who were not taken to hospitals.

A 6-year-old girl was killed and 17 other civilians were wounded, including eight children, in RSF shelling of Omdurman’s Al-Harat, Al-Thawra, and Al-Fath 2 neighborhoods on Tuesday.
