South Sudan VP confirms attacks on LRA rebels

By James Gatdet Dak

December 15, 2008 (JUBA) – The Government of Southern Sudan’s Vice President and Chief Mediator of the Uganda peace process, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, confirmed on Monday that military offensive against the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) was under way inside DR Congo.

Joseph_Kony_Riek_Machar.jpgA regional joint force carried out a surprise attack on LRA positions in eastern DR Congo on Sunday.

Machar said as mediators they were aware of the offensive shortly before it was announced in Kampala by the Ugandan government.

He blamed the LRA leader Joseph Kony for not signing the peace deal.

“We understand the frustration involved because Kony has failed to sign [the final peace agreement] five times,” he explained.

He further explained that Kony failed his arrangement to sign twice, former Mozambican President Joachim Chissano’s once, northern Ugandan leaders’ once and lastly failed to talk to President Museveni on the phone despite Museveni’s offer to dialogue with him directly.

Machar added that his government has closed its borders and would not allow the renewed fighting with the rebels to over spill into Southern Sudan again.

He however said the Government of Southern Sudan has made an important decision that incase Joseph Kony reconsiders to sign, Rikwangba in Southern Sudan remains open as assembly area for the rebels.

He said he considered the military offensive as a pressure on Kony to sign.

Those who informed Machar made a security mistake. This man is a friend to Konyi and won’t be allowed to follow the millitary plan for he may colleborate since he is a traitor.

One day, one hour, Machar may follow Konyi to hell……..

Riek enough is enough. Your dirty mouth will never made you to achieve any thing. We don’t have any Rikwangba for you with your fake Konyi in any part of Greater Equatoria to keep consuming money. Your lips have expanded with this peace because you have tasted the bitter of this peace. Which is that, the more we pursuit peace the better chance you get richer. Take you friend to Upper nile and continue delaying your peace over there. Becarefully in this silly business of yours, trading with people is a dangerous sin. SHAME ON YOU SADIST RIEK, BASHIR AND KONYI

Dr. Riek, It’s a brilliant idear never to welcome any renewed fighting with the rebel to over spill in southern sudan for you foresee. Why don’t you give a token of your eye to the so called chief of intelligence so that he sees the brain of Museven and his chief of intelligence?
We ought to guard our country by sending the rebel to face its oppotition party but not signing join millitary operation as if you are part of that country.Whose rebel is LRA and how did it start?. Stop being driven like passangers!

It is sometimes meaningless to blame a key when it doesn’t open different padlock. Likewise, it doesn’t make any sense for us to blame our leaders either Kiir or Riek for LRA defiance. But if you have isolated issue with Riek please try to find the way to solve that matter with him differently, don’t attach with him with LRA atrocities.

Also you try to be analystic. No south Sudan leader should be blamed for the Ugandan havoc.

    I hope you agree

    Mr. Logic

Please don’t worry about Bor kids because very soon I am going to advice Murle criminals to stop abducting Bor kids but to switch their activities to your village and to begin raiding all your cassava, bananas, chickens and corns without killing anybody, that way you will come to Jongolei to find a job where generous people of jongolei will be happy to award you a suitable job of your skills.

And I think the best job for you according to your qualification is to remove ticks from dogs, cows, goats and sheep. Because we want you to make more money to keep you straight, we are also going to give you extra hours to keep every anus of every cow in Jongolei cleaned. On saturdays we will let you trimmed the claws of every dog in Jongolei short.

Then I think you will be pleased and begin praising Jongolei day and night.

I know you are excited now.
