Sudan mobilises support for Palestinians

December 28, 2008 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese officials mobilised rallies and emergency relief supplies for Palestinians in Gaza Strip after fighting broke out with Israel.

Sudan announced that it will send an aircraft of relief supplies to the Gaza Strip via Egypt and also started extensive campaigns to donate blood for the Palestinian people.

A six-month truce between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) expired in Gaza on December 19. When the ceasefire expired, Hamas launched rockets at Israel and Israeli forces launched air strikes at Gaza.

Israeli attacks on Saturday morning destroyed about 40 Palestinian police stations and other targets. According to Hamas, at least 100 members of its security forces died. But following additional attacks Sunday, the overall toll is estimated at over 290 people killed over the past two days and more than 800 wounded, according to a Gaza Health Ministry worker.

Sudan’s ruling party, formerly known as the National Islamic Front, hosted Hamas’ visiting political bureau chief Khalid Mashal after Hamas won the Palestinian Authority’s general legislative elections in 2006. Meshal visited Sudan again in early August to express solidarity with President Omer Al-Bashir after the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) requested an arrest warrant for the Sudanese leader over alleged war crimes.

In a speech before a rally of thousands of Sudanese students, Sudanese Parliament Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir said, “We want to raise the voice of confrontation against Israeli aggression.” He stressed the importance of unity and being a strong nation and the striving for the sake of God.

Tahir further said that his country extended an invitation to convene an emergency session of the Arab Parliamentary Union in Khartoum to support the Palestinian cause and breaking the Arab silence.

The head of the National Human Rights Group Ibrahim Abdel Halim in a speech at a march organized by civil society that an airplane of urgent relief will fly immediately to the airport of El Arish in Egypt to transport aid Palestinians in Gaza strip, medications, accommodation and food after deadly air strikes yesterday.

Halim said that supporting the people of Palestine is the duty of all brothers and civil society organizations are ready for Jihad and the face of the Zionist oppression against the Arab Islamic identity.

In an interview with al-Jazeera television, Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir urged Arab countries not to normalise ties with Israel and to review their relations with the United States.

I’m sorry for sudanese ministers to rally support for the sturborn arab palestine while neglecting their owm people the darfurian. This truly show that the NCP is working hard to destroy the African identity in their home land.Hey Africans if let Al bashir pass in the election then you have accepted to be destroyed completely in the sudan. Therefore since Sudan instate of calming situation in the middle east and thus supporting the palestine, hence we give our support to Israelites coz they are people like us and their peace being disturbed by firing rockets into their territory.let the Israelites stop bombing them as soon as they stop firing rockets or otherwise and if not they should build a strong ARMY garrison in the south sudan.then we can see what will happen next with our sturborn Arabs who claim to be sudanese. This time Khartoum fat Arabs benefiting on sudanese black oil will smell blood and total destruction,we blacks fear no death we are ready to destroy Khartoum into ashes.

Al abashir is now planning to send troops yet his own country is full of troubles! what a shame! terrorist supporting terrorist! it very irrational for any normal person to support such thugs who are thick headed and cannot heed international call!
Let israel continue to its bitter end even if all arabs except Egypt, would send their suiciders bombers! israel will not give dumb to them!
CONTINUE protesting until protest no more!!! Action must continue on HAMAS terrorists!

Great Ashamfull on El-Bashir, How come to promise the Palestinians for help while you are not enble to solve your home State problems like war in Dafur? It is not just to say that we are arabs, You are arabs but have the States in the defferent countries,or you want to declear the war between Christians and muslim? If that the case then why don’t you anounced to the World? what do you meant by sending Aircrafts to the disturbone Palestinians while you are not UN agent? wasting the Sudanese sources will lead to long run of the ICC. Make sure that Israel are not the Christians which are standing alone. You can not saved somebody’s dogs leaving your own kids with the food you have. Be right with the Nation that the Aircrafts you send are not for relief supplies but for the military assistant, let the World just know it like that.

Therefore, if you have goods for saving the civilian then why don’t you use on save your own people in Sudan special in Darfur rether then killing them? you are not good servant,
you are the African BIG KILLER known not saver.
